I have a 98 Gt and need a new engine.... i was going thru a puddle doing 5 miles and hour and sucked up some water..destroyed the whole engine... if anyone knows where i can get one cheap let me know

 

go to Ebay and search for Mustang Engine. There's a brand new 98 model one on there right now for buy it now 2k. a 2003 GT motor with 15k miles for 1700 bucks. There's a 96 cobra motor going for a grand. I think going with a 99+ motor would be your best bet, esp if you have to replace it. Just look around on Ebay, on message boards, and you can also call up your local salvage yards.

 

thanks!! but if i replaced it with a newer motor id have to relplace and rerun alot of lines right?? cause not everything matches up? anddd are the trannys the same or am i gonna have to redo everthing?

 

i'm pretty sure if you go with a 99-2000 motor, you could just reuse everything, because really the only difference is the cylinder heads, and you can re-use your tranny.

 

Get a PI 99 or newer engen
