Default Need Help

have a 2001 GT. Does anybody know how to restore my headlights? They have frosted with age and/or weather. They look like they have been sandblasted. I have tried to polish it out, but its just too deep. Is this something covered under warranty? Just wondering if somebody has encountered this and knows how to fix it before I go spend $$$$$$$$ replacing the lenses.

Just came home from bitching out the dealer...... He said he would speak to the Ford rep (Canada) Probably nothing will happen, but atleast they know we are bitching about this. Everybody go in and bitch at there local dealer and maybe something will get done. This is obviously a problem seeing as somebody said they had the same problem on a 93. BITCH people BITCH. Don't threaten them, just say that you were wondering if Ford would stand behind their product.

I have the same problem too. I think most Fords have that problem. My old 91 taurus did the same thing. A few years ago I saw a product that restores the lenses to like new. I can't remember what's it's call though. I'll have to do some research.

My wife's van had the same issue. I bought the Permatex lens restore kit and it did a good job, even after 7 years of neglect. It has 4 grades of wet sandpaper, polish, and a polishing cloth. It's like $12 or so. Takes some elbow grease, but does seem to work.

After all that work, we traded it in for a 2007 sport track with the 3V 4.6. It's a sweet ride.
