OK, I am getting a prochamber and a chip added to the car and if you cant read my sig, I already have 125 shot Nos, catback flows, udp's, PI heads, aluminum D/S, king cobra clutch, BBK cai, 75mm T/B and Plenum, -2colder plugs and 8mm saleen wires. My question is if I get 4:10's would my first gear just be gone or will it be ok? I have heard I should get 3:73 so I can stay in first for more than a half a sec. What do you guys think??

 

talk to nanaki, hes got 3.73s with over 400 HP and hates 3.73s and will never let it go that the forum talked him into those

 

Man, I have been looking high and low for some numbers like 0-60, 1/4 on a stock mustang gt vs one with 4.10's. If I'm plucking down $700 you think somewhere, ANYWWHERE would have some idea on what the performance would be. I understand that alot of factors need to be considered, but I'm trying to get some sort of idea what the time decreases would be. Anyone help?

 

4.10s will loose you aboot 2 mpg, thats like the only drawback i can think of

 

that and you can only go 111mph in 4 gear. so no racing after that. hope there are no srt 4s in your area.

 

Any idea on acceleration? Seems like some info would be hanging out there somewhere. I have not been able to find it.

 

acutlyy it will make 5th less of a dog, but its still a dog to go through

 

so with 4.10s in fifth gear you can still go like 140? what did u mean by 111mph in 4th.. why wouldnt u just switch to 5th? its just a worthless gear? even with gears?

is this why turbos are better in the long run? because if my gt looses to an srt4 after i s/c and put gears on the freeway im going to be pissed. especially to mostly stock stis and srts.
