Default Max Hp

What is the maximum hp a 03' GT could make while still bein N/A? I know it is above 340 but I was really wondering if you could hit around the 400 range. I just want to know if it is possilbe, and yes I know that gettting a cobra would be a whole lot eaiser, but who said all this would be easy?

Theres no way you can get 400 hp N/A without some kind of forced induction. Max you can get out of a gt is about 340-350 and a cobra or mach 1 I think could make about 370-380. It is also really expensive to go N/A but definetly worth it in the end.

There's a guy in the forum who everyone knows who is putting down 346 rwhp and 351 ftlbs tq w/ a stage 2 VT work up and new internals. I'm being very general because he has EVERYTHING that you could put on a 2v 4.6. But, I can tell you, that the absolute max that you could put down might be 360 rwhp. The only way though is to get a set of Stage 3 VT cams that they haven't started selling yet while putting every bolt on w/ internals. And like the other guys will tell you, going n/a isn't for the faint of checkbook.

Not much, probably about 260-265. I'll be supercharged in about 2 months.

I disagree. new header setups with high compression cams could get you close. But you also have to include the piston heads.

I was thinking ported heads with cams, I hear you can get up to 60-70 hp from this alone, tho it does cost quite a lot.

If your willing to up the compression ratio to the point where your running race fuel (and drop a TON of cash) you could have a 2V pushing 400whp. However, on pump gas , the guy with 340+ whp has some of the biggest N/A numbers I've ever heard of for a 2V. In all honesty you would probably spend less buying an 99 or 01 cobra block and building up from there, plus you could get more power. I know a guy with a SHM built 01 cobra pushing 460 whp on 100 octane. (BIG money though!)
