Default 315's really do need modifications.

Alright I had to remove my quad shocks and oval my exhaust tips to make my tires fit.... Then I went to tech school for a while, havent had much time on my new wheels and tires... But now my rear fenders are shreading my tires!! I need to roll the fender lip, has anyone done this before? I know there is a tool to do it, theres a shop here that rents it out but some import user has had it for a couple weeks so hopefully I can get it soon before my wheels get shreaded worse. Heres the tool, http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/tools/fenderlip.jsp if anyone has the same problem. I know I can use a baseball bat for the ghetto way of doing it. But I dont want to crack any of the paint. Has anyone done this before, and how much can I roll the lip before I have a serious chance of cracking the paint? So much for the no modifications needed for 315's... I know the Goodyear F1's ru really wide, so I think thats the reason for my problems..... Take a look.

My 315s fit fine....no rubbing or anything...and I have H&R Supersports...

I guess the F1's are a little meatier?

that one in the previous post is the passenger side, this is the driver side now... My suspension or frame is tweaked, so the driver side rear fender to tire clearance is about half and inch higher, than the passenger.. I dont get it...

Hey I wouldn't mind spending $300 for that tool... Seeing that each Goodyear F1 315/35 tire is $300 a peice. The shop near me rents the tool for $25, im not sure if its the same one as tire racks, but its the same kind of tool.

Your the only one on this forum that has to make mods to make your tires fit. Thats kinda odd. Would the offset of your wheels have anything to do with having to remove the quad shocks and such? You shouldn`t have to roll the fenders either. But it looks like in your case, you do. Code`s running 335`s without any modifications. [sm=dontgetit.gif] The tires should fit fine.

I drove it around with the stock shocks in the rear... Then I put in Fox body rear shocks... I think that might be the problem....
