The mach1 has a better suspension, chin spoiler, DOHC, better seats, better guages, different spoiler, and different hood. The CDC or Rousch shaker hood kit is a kit that fits over your existing hood while the Mach has a hood that juts up towards the middle.

he didnt ask what's different about the roush car, just the shaker hood
probably no gain in power since the air has to follow the wierd shaped tubes down to the intake then back up to the engine.
but it looks bada$$ to me.....shake.....shake.......shake shake shake.....ooo and a lopy cam .....lope shake....lope shake....
pardon my dreams out loud

lol, you sing like an angel.
it's jsut looks, I think.
I've seen people with mach's that just have the scoop and it's non-functional cause they have something like JLT ram air in there or a k&n fipk thing.

I have an 03 Mach1. The hood doesn't shake. The engine moves, so you see the top of the EFI moving with the engine. The purpose is to add more cold air to the system. The air taken in by the EFI is added to the air coming in from the front, therefore giving you more air flow. Yes, both sources go through one air filter, but if you have a K&N filter, you are getting more air to the engine than with a single source. The Mach engine is a 32 valve DOH cam. The suspension is beefed up, especially in the rear where it is needed for traction. My nephew has an 02 GT, and he much prefers to drive my 03 Mach because of the added power and traction.

air goes into the scoop (shake shake shake) which goes into the intake where air also comes in through the silencer and all that air goes into the engine.
boy this thread is getting confusing.
