I was able to get my FR gears for $139 (the new "N" series) and paid $325 for a highly recommended mechanic that did a perfect job.....great shop. I also paid for the install kit, bearings and Royal Purple gear oil. What Royal Purple claims is true, no need for a friction modifier additive when you use their product. My rearend is as quiet as a mouse. Not a buzz, grind or sound of any kind......except possibly after having chili and a New Castle! The biggest deal of all is after you install the gears. I received in big bold letters on my receipt a statement telling me precisely how to break in my gears, otherwise any labor warranty was null and void. Smart shop, good mechanics.
