Default What to do?

Hey guys,
I'm totally new to the forums. I just bought a 2002 Mustang GT 5spd in Mineral Gray. Like my sig says I took off the air silencer and put a K&N filter in it. I changed the spark plugs over to the best ones i could find around here for tune up reasons. Im looking forward to starting to modify it but im kind of torn on where to start as far as performance goes. I'm not planning on supercharging it and Im kind of looking to start with basic bolt ons. Hopefully you guys have a few words of wisdom for me. Sometime this week I'm going to change the transmission fluid/gear oil. What brand or type would you guys reccommend? Also when I shift into first, second, or third there is a clacking noise if I dont let the clutch out just right. It feels almost like the transmission has too much play in it but the shifter has absolutely no movement at all. Anyone else have this problem?

Be safe everyone and have a good fourth!
-Austin

Welcome to the forums... i think youre wise to go with a supercharger... that's your best performance mod in my opinion... as far as your clutch goes, it might be a throwout bearing, but ill let others comment on that..

No SC? Bummer. I can't help you. I only know how to change oil on SC engines.

HAHA before you guys freak out on me let me rephrase my statement. Im not looking to supercharge it right now. I just want some mods to wake it up a little while I EARN the money for my supercharger. Because unfortuneately I don't get paid all that great to detail cars and unlike most people around my area my daddy doesnt flip the bill for everything. Anyways I would much rather have an all around balanced car for you know...mountain roads.

I agree with your statement. you should SC it. Do a dual SC setup for faster acceleration.
