Measuring stick
Well I just got my Gt back from the trans. shop. Before the clutch cable snapped the clutch was making a noticeable cricket sound. All better now! Any way I also own a 2000 Buick Regal GS that my wife drives. The car is supercharged and I think it would be a good test for my GT. I have a 02 GT, w. 70mm tb., welded subframes, flowmaster catback with 2 cats (will be changing to a catted X soon[sm=smiley1.gif]), short throw shifter(brand unknown). I have ripped many a new a..hole with her car because of the s/c. The car has only 1 small badge indicating that it's supercharged, other wise you can't tell until it's to late. I know it will eat me alive till about mid 2nd early third gear. From 0 to 60 it pulls like a beast! I think I can catch/get her once i hit third /fourth gear. Opinions welcomed! I've owned the car for only 4 weeks, this would be my first race.
Put in 4.10`s and you will beat that car without a doubt. I raced my friends 05 supercharged monte carlo SS and blew the doors off the poor thing. He was so far back, I couldn`t believe the kill. Gears will make a pretty big difference.
a buick is not meant to be faster than a gt stang. this solves you question, http://www.edmunds.com/used/2000/bui...984/specs.html
yea bro. my dad has a 04 monte carlo ss s/c. i drove that thing alot because i thought it was fast before i got my stang. with the mods in my sig, i can beat it pretty easily. dont worry about it. you also got less weight then him and 2 more cylinders
