What kind of hp/tq gains could i expect from a n/a pi motor with the heads ported and polished? trying to decide if it's worth the cost

maybe 10-20hp depending on what else you have done...its not really a cost effective mod but the more you do the more it will benefit you. Not something you do as a first mod unless you have money and plan to do cams etc at the same time.

other than the outwright gains from the headwork by themselves, if you get cams you will see higher gains than just cams in stock heads.

so if you plan on getting cams (which i suggest you do so you can put them in with the heads of the car from the p/p) yes its worth it but by itself i say no. you also have to figure in the cost/labor of actually taking them off and reinstalling them

friend of mine told me to call around and get prices for p/p and that he would do it for 75% of what they said, and they are the stock heads from my 2000 GT

yeah but you'll get an amateur p/p job instead of a pro one from steen or someone else

Well, then shouldn't he know what to charge you? why do you need to call around, just tell him they all said 200.00 or something low like that
