Default 5spd trans problem HELP!!!!!

The car I'm talking about is a 2003 GT 4.6L SOHC W/5SPD Manual. I have a whine that sounds like it is coming from the trans only when the clutch is let out. Push it in and the noise goes away. I thought it was the throughout bearing on the clutch, but that is not the case, I changed it. Has anyone experienced anything similar? It makes noise in 1st, 2nd and then 3rd it starts to go away. There is no trouble with shifting or getting it into gears at all. Oh yeah, car only has 4K miles on it!!!!!

Are you sure the sound is going away, or you just can't hear it anymore since you're now trying to filter out road noise and engine noise??

Did YOU replace the TO Bearing, or did a shop?? If you did, did you remember to grease the input shaft/TO Bearing race?? Did you make sure the clutch fork is seated correctly?? What about clutch hydraulics??

With only 4k on the car, you should be able to eat off of the engine... Something's up..

I changed the TO bearing and yes I did grease the pilot bearing. This noise came after going about 130MPH down the highway. The noise was there before I took the car apart and the noise is still there after it is put back together. Nothing on my end is wrong, I need to look further. It is coming from the trans and sounds like a rear end gear houl. In 3rd if I let off the gas it goes away completely. As soon as I push the clutch in it goes away. the noise is there even idling in neutral.

What kind of TO Bearing did you use??

I'm still leaning towards TO Bearing.. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, but things happen... They can be defective from the original Manufacturer...

It has to be in the front section of the trans. When you push the clutch in, you can hear what ever it is spinning, then it slows down to a stop. It sounds like gear whine. I thought the obvious TO bearing would have done it.
