Do you have the aftermarket clutch adjuster? If not, you can't adjust it from the firewall cable.

If its factory some you pull the clutch pedal up towards you, if its artermarket.. and you dont have a firewall adjuster...... theres a dust cover on the driver's side of tranny with 1 bolt... take it off.... theres your bolts to adjust....... if new cluth keep an inch of play in the pedal.. otherwise..throwout bearing will be on pressure plate constantly spinning, and wear the grease down then the bearings.....and burn it out.

when my car is idling there is a funny squeaking noise, i figured i would try and adjust the clutch cable to see if it fixes it.

Assuming it is the Throw out bearing how much would that cost to replace. I was looking at new clutches from spec like the stage 1 and it comes with a new throwout bearing and all that.

might as well replace clutch if your going to do a throwout bearing.... i spent.......around 275 for king cobra clutch, bearing, and alignment tool.....and new quadrant and cable.......... around 250-350 for labor.....i think you can gain access to TOB without tranny removal, take of dust cover and see how far you can go.
