See, I thought the block was the same. Everything else is different though (i.e. exhaust manifolds, heads, crank, crank timing gear, Cam Angle Sensors, Crank Angle Sensors, etc...)

In fact, I thought Ford was only putting the Aluminum Blocks in GT and the Cobra R.. I know the new Cobras will have Iron blocks, but will be 5.4's...

THE 99 AND 01 COBRAS HAD ALUMINUM BLOCKS. 03 AND 04 HAD IRON.

Ahh, I understand now... I wonder how much different it is than the iron block, besides it being made of Aluminum??
