Would changing from 235/40 to 255/40s get me better traction?

I cant seem to keep these tires from spinning no matter how I launch. Even my b/f says they spin real easy compared to his 96 he had that had a PI swap and lots of others. He was running 255 in the rear though.

Would going from my 235s to 255s help on the traction issue?

He also had double adjustable UCAs and some LCAs too though

235/40 is not an appropriate fitment for these cars. Too short.

Try a 275/40. The model of the tire will have a lot to do with it too....

What's your driving style like?

Conservative but when need be Id like to get on it, which isnt too often.

I dont have to worry about snow either, just rain and back roads

You should be okay with almost any tire out there then, I'd just avoid Suckitomos....

i would say the model of tire is better then adding a little width to the tire... pirelli tires would stick a lot better then some cheap *** brand IMO... now some people upgrade to 10.5' for their rear tires but that would add more traction then just getting better tires

If you have thefactory17's that came on your car stockyou should be running at least 245/45/17. Most people (like me) run 245/45/17 up front and 275/40/17 in the back.
