Trying to install BBK under pulleys on my 02 GT and I am having issues. The water pump pulley sticks out approximately 1 inch further than it should, in order to line up with the balancer pulley. It is inline with the old balancer pulley. It appears to be the right kit for the car based on all the reference sites I've looked up. Has anyone had any experience with this type of problem?
Yep, in mid '01 the waterpump changed shaft lengths. Those are the piggyback style pulleys you have there and 99% of us recommend against them for a number of reasons. Steeda or March with the SFI approved dampers are the best. Most have Steeda.
Now, if you're tuner will allow you, advance the timing from 10 to 14 degrees and run 91/93 octane. I run 89 without any problems, but most dont' recommend it.
