Please convince me!!!!
I currently have a set of FRPP 4.10's sitting on the floor in my room and i'm really debating wether or not to put them in. I got em since everyone raves about how great they are. My only concern is hooking up with that small of a gear. The other night i was drag racing with some buddies and i could not hook up for the life of me. I mean i was spinnin em all the way through 1st and almost all of 2nd and thats with the stock gears. I imagine it will be only harder to get traction once i put the 4.10's in. Please convince me as to why i should put them in. Am i just being a little too skeptical???? How could i go about gettin better traction if i do decide to put them in?

i have 4:10's and wouldnt change it if i could.. i love them... take it easier when you take off ... slip the clutch... i just leave my traction control on with my bfg Dr's and i only spin a little... you could work on your suspension.. i know some LCA and shocks and struts would help you with your traction along with some DR's

do u have stock street tires? I have stock tires and i spin all of first and a little of 2nd, but they are really bald. Get new tires, or slicks or something. Do what Airman said, just slip the clutch dont dump the clutch at 5,000rpm's

Just got my 4.10's installed last week and with an automatic i have to leave the line with half throttle for a split second and then hit it. I am going to get some 315's for the rear and hope for better traction. Really it would take slicks for me to add a converter and really take advantage of the gears. However all of my driving is not 1/4 mile racing and response driving at speed is enhanced making the change well worth it. Mark

its definatly worth it......just get some really sticky tires when you need to change them out
also after you do the gears, if you plan on anymore mods....i would start suspension if you havnt

IMO, if you want versatility between daily driving and strip performance, go with 3.73's, especially if you are going to end up with a s/c or any forced induction. If you stick with the 4.10's you will almost have no choice in getting drag radials if you even want to have any fun at the drag strip. I have 3.73's and just have to start at idle but it will catch quick. Thats on street tires.

I have 4.10's with just regular tires and the only time i have traction problems is when I want to have traction problems. They are awesome. I'm so glad that i went with the 4.10's, they are absolutely awesome.

who wants to help me build a technologically advanced rear end for all kinds of cars, that allows you to simply change ratios often, and easily..
so it will only take like, an hour to go from 2.73's for a LONG interstate trip, to 4.56's for a few runs at the drag strip??
im gonna make MILLIONS and MILLIONS....
i just have to figure it out.....
