A shift kit makes your transmission work as a manual/automatic, you can shift from first to second to drive on your own, it also make it shift quicker and harder more firm shifts.

 

where could I buy the Jerry mod kit?

 

read up on that post about the J-mod it's not something you buy, its' actually something you do to the transmission your self so it's very cost efficiant, it was released by the guy who actually developed the transmission for ford, he just released a better way to be able to shift with this mod. the link is a few posts up.
