Default gears question?

for any of you that have 3.73's or 4.10's, is the gearing easy enough for you to start off in second gear rather than using first (for regular street driving), without reving the engine high enough, because of the hard launch in first gear.

Why would you want to start in second gear street driving?

well because in regular street driving 1st gear with 4.10's or even 3.73's would seem like too hard of a launch that you would only last a second in 1st gear before you have to shift to 2nd

Just don`t floor it every time when you take off. I don`t have a problem in 1st with my 4.10`s

thank you! Roush85! thats the answer im looking for.......its not that people are lazy to shift.....or i don't have any trouble shifting from 1st.......its just that with high rear end gearing, FIRST GEAR WOULD LAST ONE SECOND BEFORE YOU REDLINE, so....to avoid shifting too much.....save yourself the trouble and start shifting from second gear at a stand still.
