Default brake noise?!?

When i gently tap on the brakes at slow speeds (from 5mph to 0) like in front of a speed bump or in a traffic jam or anywhere else as a matter of fact, I can hear a grinding noise coming from the wheels dept... Could it be the brake pads?? I just got new brake pads!!! The noise ONLY becomes evident from the right side when I tap the brake pedal and only at slow speeds =(When I tap the brakes gently without stopping the car, the noise becomes continuous as if it's cycling. Anyone know why this is happening?!?!

did you buy cheap autozone breaks? if so you are stuck with that noise untill you buy new ones. when i bought cheap autozone brake pads they would not stop squeaking. i thought maybe it was your low pad indicator squeaking but you said they are new so that is the only thing i can think of, unless the pad is on backwards but you would have more problems then that

Did you check your rotors? I'd also recheck the brakes again. Take em off, put some stop squeak crap on the back of em. Blow off any dust or debris from the rotors and brake pads and reinstall.

Grinding is usually the wear indicator or grooved rotors.

That's about all I can think of. It's got to be one of the two.
