What do heads do?
So lately ive been comtemplating whether or not to buy stage 1 cams. after talking to a friend who got a quote at the local performance shop he said its like $700 for cam install and probably $800-$1000 for cam/head install. So if im gonna do cams more then likely im gonna do heads too. Couple of questions.
What do heads do?
How much rwhp with heads/cams?
What makes them better then stock?
Does $800-$1000 sound reasonable for heads/cams install?
SHOULD i get valve springs (i know its not necessary)?

I ahev heard ported heads will give you an increase of 40-50hp. With my setup I could probably see 340-370hp at the crank. Yes you need valve springs with any aftermarket cam with .550" lift.

If your gonna port the heads, you should get some stage 2 cams. Change the springs of course. Thats alot of money man, why not just get some juice??

Nitrous is 50 state legal, all you have to unhook is line at the bottle and your set.

I got quoted $3000 to replace the rotating assemby with forged parts and port the heads.
