oooook looks like ill be the first to tell u . your not gonna get 26hp outa the k&n and your probably not gonna even get maybe 10. u might get 15 to 20hp outa the whole intake change including the mass air meter. all modifications add up. each decent mod adds up to 10 or so hp . catback 10hp if u get a good brand. x pipe 10hp underdrives maybe 10. intake up to throttle body and changeing maf maybe 15 to 20. alot of these mods depends on the other and they feed off of one another to get a few more hp outta them when all of them are done. these are your basic bolt ons and these should be done first. exhast is restricting and u will get more power if u change that. and u will get more power outta your intake mods when if u have the exhast done.

flamed gauges
....Hahaha...the man wants to race.

Anywhoo...being a fellow '98er I have to tell you this...

If you bought the car purely to race, you really f*cked yourself. we're about 35hp behind stock 99+ GT's. Easily made up in exhaust, intake, etc, but that's vs. a STOCK gt. You have a very nice car that can handle most imports (exclusing wrx, sti, rsx-s I think, and a **** load of others) Like just today a beat a white RSX in my automatic 98Gt.

DO LOTS OF READING on these forums, modulardepot.com stangnet.com and you'll learn a lot...and that K&N MIGHT give you 4hp on a stock engine.

happy reading!

look threw all the forums and past posts and see what brand ppl have the best comments about and look for dyno charts on the products FOR YOUR CAR not other cars like cobras and mach1s. intake i have C&L and alot of guys on here have denscharger. ask almost anyone on here about magnaflow and u will hear good comments. magnaflow has one of the best sounds and its geared all for performance and top quality. look into it.
