Default RE: rear end

Could be very bad. Possible broken ring and pinion or differential.

thank god its not my stang, just a friends...

i told him its prolly his diff, and he should plan on an eaton, with 4:10's.

if he did that, think it would remedy his problem?
also when he shifts into each gear, (under light load too, havent noticed it under heavy, would have to ask him) (5 spd) most of the time you get a lil clunk...tranny or u-joints? or maybe tied in w/ the other problem?

and code, what should i do, tuner + gears, or x-pipe then headers first. =O

He may want to check his Tranny mount as well, but check U-joints as "suspect" first. Is there a very pronounced vibration from under you when the car's at highway speeds??

no vibration, and the clunk is very subtle, dont even know if i wuold consider it a 'clunk'

its more like a 'thump'
