I bought the PIE adapter for my Ipod, but I cannot figure out how to get the plastic trim around the stereo and such out. Just looking for some help on how to remove that thing without busting it to little pieces.

there at two bolts way in the back you have to take the head unit out 1st

Oops! It is a 2004 GT with the mach 460.

ok... take the bottom piece that goes around your shifter out... then take the 2 bolts of the bottom of the piece out... then it should pop out since i think there are 4 or 6 clips holding it on... isnt hard at all.. just try not to flex the plastic to hard.

i'm not sure if yours is the same as mine (2002 w/ Mach 460), but first you have to remove the trim around the shifter; mine is an auto so i have to put it into low to have enough room to squeeze it out. You can pretty much just pull it up and it unclips... not much to it. There is a plug/clip that you have to remove for the cigarette lighter. After that is out then the trim around the radio & a/c ***** all just pops off. I always start at the bottom-- there will be a solid edge you can pull from after you take out the shifter trim at the very bottom-- then just work your way up from there. its a pretty solid piece so it shouldn't break too easily. Then you have to unplug the 3 switches at the bottom (Fog lights/trac control/defrost) and it should all come out... not sure if that was detailed enought but it isn't too hard.
