Status: online Ok today i put the ngk tr55 spark plugs in my car. I had the bosch +4s in there The miss went away but now it has a slight ticking sound in the engine. What is the problem?

 

the lifter tap perhaps? when do you hear the sound? at idle, acceleration, cruising? what rpms? and if you hear the sound at cruise, what speed are you going?

 

probably lifter tap.... i know the 4.6's always have some sort of tick....

 

only that has to do w/ my engine is fuel injectors, they click click click click all day long when shes runnin.

 

But it didnt miss or click click before i changed the plugs. After i put the ngks in there it starts clicking. The clicking sound is anytime the car is running its ANNOYING!

Maybe its the incredible spark power, maybe what you are hearing is the arching of the plugs......

 

Is that normal? I mean it wasnt like that when i had the original spark plugs in there it was only when i put the ngk tr55s in there it started this clicking noise.
Any info would help
