Default Upper Control Arms

Now I know little about suspension, but Ive got the general idea on upper control arms. I know they stiffen up the rear axle quite a bit. Im also pretty confident in saying they connect to the axle and if u have the adjustables u can delegate how stiff or loose u can let the axle float/move. Is this right or even close, and if not can someone explain to me. Thanks

The adjustable uppers will give you more control over your pinion angle, which is set to help you stick when you launch. The actual motion of the axle is more determined by the bushings and flex in the arms. Ideally, you want the axle to only move with the arms, but that makes for a very uncomfortable ride.
