Default Bogging when cold?

I have a 2002 GT with 52,000 miles. When I first start it up and the engine is cold (relatively cold, its in the 80's most days in the morning), the car bogs at about 1600-1800 RPM. After driving it for a few minutes, the bog disappears. Is this normal? If not, what could be the problem? I have a K&N SRI, I have heard that if it is well oiled, it can make the MAF dirty, but I have not oiled it since I got it (it only has like 5,000 on the filter). Any ideas?

that happened to me too if i shifted before 2k it would bog a bit then get it back. once i put my lm2 on it doesnt do it anymore... so im guessing it has to do with the stock muffler and restrictive piping. you have any exhaust mods?

Every car is boggy when its cold out, rings become smaller= little less compression. THen when it warms up its fine!

well, you are feeding it more air than it's ready for... have you reset the computer? I'd have a look at the MAF just for grins and clean it off with electrical cleaner
