2V top speed questions.

Awhile back there was alot of posts asking about a N/A 2V's top speed, so if there is anybody still wondering here is a video of me trying to shut down an M3 flyby and pegging 130 with O/D off and when O/D was switched on I probably got to about 160, as for the 4.10's slowing you down at top end... I have 4.10's and I'm pretty sure thats a myth now

NO WAY 160!!!! In my 5spd 97 it went 139mph maxed out with 3:27's. I had it pegged for about 5 miles and it didn't budge over 139. P.S.-I was running from the cops and expected the car to go a little faster like 145 or 150. NOPE. Also you weren't going by cars fast enough to be at 160, and I don't think that your AOD would even kick in at high speeds like tht because theres so much air resistance it thinks your trying to climb a hill and would stay in passing gear, especially if you have it tuned for shifting performance!. I had a GSXR750 and did 163mph in it and I was destroying cars 2 lanes away. The Cobra's in my years won't do 160. Well definately not stock anyway. Another thing...Your at 130 and you tach is PEGGED!!! Theres no room for more top end???? Unless your car is special and it can tach at 7K? 4:10's down SLOW you down in theory, they do however LIMITY you to your FULL TOP END abilities. That would've been pretty cool if you had been pulled over and a cop reviewed that tape. You woulda been screwed!!! Don't video tape anything stupid like that, because if they did in fact get a hold of that say 5 years from, now and captured the liscence plate in front of you, that guy would be screwed. Happened to a buddy of mine with his motorcycle. Got arrested for speeding around a corner(he was doing 80 around a 35mph corner)??????And they arrested him and took his helmet cam to get the others that ran. Arrested all of them. Some bullsh.t!!!!

LOL you're a retard.... watch the video again and pause it when my O/D is on and the camera goes to the speedo... the speedo clearly says 150 and there is still more to go till I hit the powerband in which I use the rest of the powerband to catch up a bit....
but yeah your right... this whole video was computer edited... I don't even own a mustang, I made that whole video on paint
P.S. the speed limit there is 75... since it's more up north people take it at 85 90... so those cars are going about 80 to 90 mph that I'm passing

I have 3.27 gears and I shift out of 4th at around 140. Ive maxed my car, with 3.27's it was around 170ish. Someone had posted a gear/tire/speed calculator on anothe thread like this, and according to that calculator with my tires and the gears I was runnin I shouldve been goin 203. BWAHAHHAHAH.

Do you guys realize why its good to keep the factory governor at 140mph? At more than that, if you hold the car at a higher speed for long enough, the bottom crown part of the piston starts kind of melting and welding itself to the block. Ive seen one that did. I'm good with 140mph lol EDIT: This was explained and demonstrated to me by an Ex-Ford technician who know works at a local performance shop.
