Default Upper Control Arms. . .

So tell me about Adjustable Upper Control Arms. I was looking at them and they say "dramatic increase in handling" and that it gives you a lot better launches and it greatly improves your handling and all that. they arent all that expensive so i just wanted to know who has done this and if it helped at all or a lot and how hard were they to put on?

i didnt get the adjustables, i just got the regular ones, eventhough i am lowered as well. I think the adjustable ones help when you lower the car, you change the geometry of the rear end, and the adjustables help for that. They are just bolt in, they keep the rear end more in line and dont let it move as much. I could be wrong, feel free to correct me on teh benefits of adjustables.

the adjustable part is to adjust the pinion angle for better traction. The different bushings are to stop side to side movement.

Yes, very much so. Take a look on ebay for Granatelli motorsports tubular arms. They are poly bushings and very easy to install.

I had a lift to work with, so that made it real easy. The forward bolt on the LCAs is kind of a bear, but mot too bad. I recommend you loosen all the bolts initially, then replace one control arm at a time and don't tighten the bolts all the way. When you have all the arms in, let the axle rest on jack stands to take the vehicle weight, then finish tightening the bolts. Then grease all fittings.

Also, expect the axle housing to rotate a little (forward or backward) when you remove any control arm. Creative use of a jack under the diff housing will compensate, if necessary.
