Default Thinking about adding some color to interior

I have a '99 Gt with black interior. I like the interior the way it is, but I'm wanting to add something to it. I was thinging about painting some of the pieces to match the exterior of the car, trim around the door handles, window switch piece, around the instrument panel. etc.

I want to get some opinions on how you think this will look. I want something to make my interior to stand out, but dont want it to look cheap.

Here is a link of a car that has the pieces painted the way I'm thinking about doing, car is the same color as mine. Interior is about halfway down the page.

i really like the way it looks when the color of the car matches the interor pieces like in the saleen. i helped a buddie do this to his sliver/black leather 02. u can either buy the pieces or takes the originals off and sand them then paint.

but be aware the paint u might want to do many coats, beacuse now after about a year he has wear around the headlight **** and the orginal black is comming through.

I had a feeling I was going to have to do lots of coats. The plan is to put about 6 good coats of single stage paint, let that dry overnight, then go over it with some clearcoat. That should last a while, and if it starts to rub through I could catch it before it gets to the paint and just clear it again.

You can buy the pieces already painted? I would be interested in a link.

Does the seller reall think he's going to get $13K for a beat to hell clone? Did anyone see the dirt under the hood, in the glove box, in the back seat area, etc? The carpet is loose under the pedals and so much more. Yeah, I'm off topic, but damn, that guy is fooling himself.

Yea i noticed that, the buy now price is $17k. That car definately needs some work. Looks like its cracking around the trunk supports too. That is the body kit I want for mine though, without the saleen logos because I know my car isnt one []
