Default NITROUS

I was thinking about putting nitrous on my 03GT. Its all stock accept for cat-back flowbastards and a mac o/r x. I was considering a 125 shot, nothing that would harm my precious 4.6. I have never ran my car before but what do you think i would run after the nitrous installation? Would nitrous be a good $1000 dollar upgrade or would u guys go a different route? All my freinds mock me for wanting nitrous but i have seen what it does and its amazing! Took my freinds V6 camaro from 15.8 to 14.2 on 100 shot! Anyways please reply!

I know 100 is completely safe. Im not 100% sure but I would imagine 125 would be pushing it, how badly of a push? No clue. I just know that people who run 175 shots on stock blocks -cough cough-mitchakacode3-cough cough- will blow the hell out of their motor. =]

code has a built block that can handle the 175 shot.

you shold be able to run a 125-150 w/a tune i had a friend that ran a 150 shot on a 98 gt w/out a tune for months before he sold it and somehow didnt blow it he went from a 9.3 to a 8.7 1/8th mile but couldnt get traction and had to get a new clutch too

I would just go up to 100 shot to be on the safe side. That is a great 1000 dollar mod. You will get nice gains from it but MAKE SURE YOU TUNE IT. You will need a tune for it and that will cost some more money. Good luck

BTW, The reason Code has a VT block is because he blew the stock one w/ the huge shot of nitrous. Now his bulletproof block will have no prob. w/ a large shot of juice.

+1 I was running a 100 shot on a stock motor with no problems. when you get a tune make sure that they retard the timing a bit for the N2O.

what does that have to do with anything at all with his question?? and i think he is pushing more then a 175 shot. and back on topic 100 shot is safe. you can do a 125 shot but make sure you have a goooood tuner. remember its alll about the tune. tune tune tune
