Default Difference??

I am looking into buying a GT and had a couple questions about changes over the years. Have there been any major differences between 2000 and 2003? I found this great 2000GT for $16,900, but wanted to know if they are the same as the 2003's. I really dont care about anything except for the engine, tranny, and suspention. Thanks

Default Difference??

On the outside nothing much has changed. The hood scoop got taller, rims and the spoiler has changed a little bit and a few new colors. In mid 2001, they went from a T-45 to TR-3650 (5-spd only)Transmission. 2000 has the T-45 tranny. The TR-3650 is just beefier than the T-45. There was a problem with the 2001 TR trannies, but Ford fixed it by 2002. I have the T-45 tranny and I have had no problems with it. '00 have 2:73 gears. I do believe the 2003's have 3:27's.

All the mustangs from 1999 up have the 8.8" 3.27 gear. I didnt know about the 3650 transition. What do you mean by 5 speed only? If you have 5 seperate cogs...you have 5 speeds...Gt hp hasent changed that i know of either, still at 260, with the 5 speed puting about 235 to 240 to the ground, the automatic signifigantly less. Suspension is the same as it has been for years, noting signifigant since the late 90's. cars come standard with 245-45-ZR17 tires, although most are replaced with lesser rated tires due to cost. The transmission should be fine for stock cars, but cars making over 350hp and 325 lb ft of torque should seriously think about a 3650 or TKO.

What I mean is the AOD uses the 4R70W tranny. I have never owned one so I dont know a whole lot about them. My bad about the gears, they are all 3:27, thanks for the correction. In 2000, I had the option for 16" or 17" wheels.
