track help..first time
So this friday im taking my car to the track for the first time. Its a 97 cobra with flows, lowering kit, intake. Im running on Falkon tires sittin on 19"s. I know they slow me down and that I shouldnt expect to hook up too well. What are some tips so that I can get the best time possible.

Spin the tires a little bit to get whatever sand and junk may be on there... don't need to make any smoke, just a little spin. Avoid the water in the burnout box. When launching, don't just dump the clutch... play with throttle/clutch combos till you hit the point where your tires are about to lose traction, but haven't yet... and you end up with the clutch out at higher than 3000 RPM... after that, have fun

for me sometimes i go to a different track every now and then, so ill make a few different runs at different rpms. dont just dump ur clutch either, feather it. i like to start at like 3000 and work my way up. depending on the track, go with what works best. if u start to spin ease of the throttle just enough to where itll hook, then get back in it. ur gonna need to practice with the lights too, its gonna take a while, but ull get, just practice. good luck. post ur times when u get em.
