You have enough money for a tune, but yet you use Generic Oil. What's wrong with you. If you race your motor up to high rpm's often your oil will breakdown and you will lose all viscosity in your oil at around 1,000 miles. If you use Mobil 1 Fuly synthetic the 15,000 mile protection stuff and change your oil every 6,000 miles you will spend the same amount of money as that cheap sh.t every 2,000 miles. As you really should change every 2,000 miles to be safe if you run your engine hard! I use 15k Mobil 1 10w-30 with Purolator Pure-One filter. Same as K&N, but half the price. Besides I would rather spend a little more money to get under my car and get dirtier LESS OFTEN!!!!

My 99 will burn maybe 1 quart every 2000 miles.
