Default Cams or LTs

Which do you think would be most beneficial to my car and what should I expect in the way of pricing for either one. I am relatively new to modding cars and stuff and I am hoping to get my car into the 12's for 2k with no forced induction (I know this may not be possible). In saying this, it is important to me that every dollar be spent in the most efficient manner and in a way which will give me the best gains. I realize that each mod does better with supporting mods, but lets say I have gears, t.b. and plenum, short throw, underdrives, drag radials and a tune, which would give me the best results, the cams or full exhaust (long tubes and midpipe)?

Thankyou,

James

cams will give you more power, but longtubes will add power to your cams... if that makes sense... imo, only real way to get your 2v into 12's for under 2k is: gears, tune, drag radials, and nitrous.

FYI - longtubes (bought and installed) range from 1000-1500, and most cams bought and installed are around 1500 or so..

So they are roughly the same price, but lets say I could only get one or the other due to budget constraints. Which would would be best? and why

I'd go longtubes first... like code said... Longtubes is something you will have to do regardless if you plan on putting a high hp car out there... cams aren't...

the lt's will enhance your car with it's existing mods, but to see more potential from the cams....lt's are a must. I would get the LT's first.
