Default yet another problem

Ok guys I need your input once again. There is a weird sound coming from my car, mostly underneth near the tranny region. It is like a loud SHHHHHHHHHHH sound. When I push the clutch in it seems to quiet down a little but still stays there. I was thinkin maybe TOB. What could it be?

Thanks

Jay

Throwout bearing seems right... when the clutch is out, it'll make the sound... if you bring the RPM's up to like 1300-1400, just enough so that your exhaust doesn't over-run the sound you're hearing, then push the clutch in, you should hear the sound wind down and stop... that's the throwout bearing. It -should- totally stop, unless your clutch isn't disengaging totally.
