Default spacers

Well since I want just a temp fix for my non-existent DD rims out back, i decided some spacers would do the trick. I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with them? If there is anything i should look out for? and where to get them?

Default RE: spacers

I had a set on my car with the stock Cobra wheels. I have a 97 and used 1 ich spacers with 1 in. drop and there were no problems. The 1inch spacer is the exact width as a 10 inch wheel, as far as sticking out that is. I put on 18X10's and they stuck out exactly as far as my spacers did. I wouldn't go much more than that because it will look silly having tires stick out of your fender wells with skinny tires! Now I did have to shave my studs down maybe a smidgen so they didn't hit the back of my wheels. If you don't wanna have to do that then your gonna have to get the 1 1/4's. You don't have to waste your money on hubcentric, because it's all over-rated. If you tighten the studs down properly they will never come lookse and you won't have any troubles. I bought mine on ebay and got them superfast. I paid $65 with shipping and got them in 3 days from EZaccessory. They even have a websit EZaccessory.com you can go to. They send everything USPS 2-3days and are awesome there! If you want hub centic they will run you about $80 shipped

Very safe!!! I did burnouts and drove the car sideways and went 135mph fo miles and miles. Never any trouble, just tighten all the lugs as evn as possible! Start out by finger tight and then 1/4 turn each one...not half just 1/4 turn. Then don't be afraid to snug them down nice and tight. Remember aluminum wheels do need to be retightened after a few hundred miles, so you may want to pull your wheels off and re tighten to be on the safe side, which isn't a big deal since it's only two wheels!
