New ride
Hello, I am new to this board so I do not know if this question has already been asked,if it has sorry. I recently bought a 2003 Mustang GT. Horsepower is listed as 260, what little changes(tweeks) without getting to extreme can I do to my car to get it up to 300 to 310 horses. Thanks in advance for any and all replies, Erik.
well you can go with all the simple bolt ons first. pulleys exhaust intake.... remove air silencer. if a 5 speed try a short throw. 3:73's. just typical stuff. or with it being such a new car i would let it break in for a few thousand miles and then start sprying it. 75 shot would be nice!!!
I'd stay away from the cold-air intake upgrade. The GT
has cold air from the factory already anyways.I made the mistake of buying one and it slowed down my e.t.s in the 1/4.just get a drop in k&n filter and remove the air silencer.nitris is the best bang for the dollar,if you don't mind the worry of breaking your motor. If i was you i'd do the filter,3.73gear,catback,&a chip. You should be happy with that.Well if your gt is a 5spd it will pretty fast after those up grades.and if its an auto I'd upgrade
your torq-converter 1st to at least a 2500 stall.You'll see a big difference then.

to get 300-310rwhp you are going to need basically full bolt ons and cams and that should get you to the 300 ball park. I would do gears (skip the 3.73 and go with 4.10s)and exhaust first. And about the cold air intake slowing you down I dont know whats thats all about but my intake made a noticable difference on my car
