Car fire...

So my car had a little fire sunday morning.. [:o]

the cause of the fire was some wiring, got a little loose connection...

All is well, except for a ton of white fire extinguisher crap everywhere in my car.

Saved my baby though.

Still working on fixing the problem.

thats one reason i wont get nitrous. i know this kid where i live and he put nitrous on his mach 1....it caught fire and was almost a complete loss.

nitrous its self is non-combustible, but it breaks down into nitrogen and 02, 02 makes everything extremly combustible though. thats y nitrous works, it allows u to burn more fuel. so im not sure how u get a fire started from nitrous, but if u try to just like light the gas it wont do ne thing, it will probably blow the flame out. The nitrous has to be heated up to a certain temp for it to break down into pure oxygen, so if that happens and u have a nitrous leak around a combustable material and u have a spark or something then u will have a fire, but thats something that wont happen very often. this link will explain the properties on n20 a little better http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrous...bustion_engine

Fire?

Damn! I'm not putting out a fire in my car. I'll let it burn to the ground and get a new one LOL

Your lucky!!! A guy around here didn't put his fuel rails on right after a supercharger install and fuel hit the headers. He didn't have a fire extingusher. He bought a fox body now.
