i have heard longtubes are better but i was just wondering how much a difference there is between shorties and longtubes

oh well i just found the flowtech for half the price of bbk i just dont know the quality of them

Go MAC. I have heard lots of good things and you can get the LT's and a shortie mid-pipe for $500.

I had Mac and i liked em, but a lot of people dont like Mac....

LT's will give you more gains upfront, and in the future... Shorties will give you close to what LT's will on the upfront, but won't give you the extra gains off of other mods that lt's will... Problem is, is that LT's will help you fail emmisions, if your state has emission testing, and you'll need a new "shorty midpipe"

Heres a myth buster qeustion for you guys. Iv heard the long tube headers are hard on the valves and the tranny but i hve not been able to find any info to see if its a false claim or not. I no if you dump your exhasut right aft the headers that will eat your valves.

never heard that... but I think my tuner would've told me if that happened... he tells me about normally every pro and con... and he's steered my away from a lot of mods that I didn't need that would've been some $$$ for him... I am not saying it's not true, but nothing i've heard about em
