Im trying to decipher through your post and im hoping you mean 1250 rpms and not 125 mph. Run a can of sea foam through your car to clean out the IAC and sensors and see if that helps. Your tranny could be slipping. It could be a number of problems. Maybe you just arent good at doing brake stands Does it sputter when it makes the shutting down sound?

Ok so you might want to take out your coil packs and check to see if there is water leaking in and building up around the top of your spark plugs. Trust me on that one. Sea foam is cleaner. We have a million posts on this website about how to use it and all that good stuff.

You just suck some of it up throught the PCV hose and then some of it goes into your gas tank and they even say you can throw some in your coolant. Talk to the guys at the parts stores first just to be sure what you're getting.

I could be totally wrong here but it almost sounds like your burnout problem is exactly what happens to me at the track when I forget to turn off the TC, does your car have TC? also you said you have an auto tranny, on my Mach1 the speed limiter is set at 126 mph from the factory, standard trannys are like 151, could this possibly be why you have problems getting over 125??

I could be totally wrong just throwing out some ideas..
