Default HELP!

Hey everyone...Bought a 01 mustang gt. Recent upgrades, borla cat back, aem ram air intake, steeda short throw shifter. Soon, i was thinking about a ram air shaker kit. Has anyine installed one on a gt before with the stock hood, if so how hard is it, what are the steps. Pics would be great. Also for rim sizes. any reccomendations. i was thinking 19s in front and 20s in back, probablly deep dish. Thanks.

The rims you have on there are fine. 20's are horrible on stangs, I even think 19s are way too big. Its a mustang not a explorer.

+1

the biggest you should go is 18's.. the 18's will really stick out if you lower the car just my .02

Im not sure about the install but actually I dont think the Shaker really adds that much performance. Maybe a few ponies here and there but to really take advantage of it you have to be going pretty fast. IMO its not worth the money. A friend of mine installed one on his 2000 GT, for 750 bux and he said he didnt feel any significant gains worth 750. If you can get it for cheaper then go for it but idk

if you put 20s on you have the risk of them rubbing your fender well and you have the risk of cracking them + tires are crazy expencive for 20s

If you put 20's on a Mustang you run the risk of being an idoit. I think 17s up from and 18s in back is plenty big. 20's will make your car look rediculous.

well it all depends on what you wanna do with your stang. if you are looking for performance/handling then obviously go with the lowering kit. if you are doing a show thing go body kit. or you could always do both. im sure there are people on here that have put on a body kit (saleen) and still dropped the car.
