I was in autozone today and saw some mufflers on the shelves. I saw a Flowmaster super 40 muffler for 99 bucks, then a magnaflow for 750 bucks. Is that right? It said straight through muffler or something like that. But is that outrageous? A muffler is just for sound right?

They are both over priced.

A muffler can not produce power. It can only allow the motor to produce the power it has been designed for.

 

It had to be a cat-back system for like a truck or something, I paid 285 on ebay for my magnaflow cat back and it has the magnapaks (or straight through mufflers).

 

Look on ebay or summitracing, you can find them for about $20 cheaper

$750 for the magnaflow? WTF, you should buy it then sue them for robbery [&:]

Hmm, maybe I overlooked it. It had the box with a muffler in it for 750. It probably meant ask the employee to get parts in the back or something.
