OK so i finished my long tube header install. It took forever but I did it. NOw I didn't hook up the egr valve, so the pipe to the egr valve it self is open, and my headers also have an open pipe that i have not plugged. WIll that make my engine run rish and drop really low rpms when idling, to the point where it will stall.

HELP PLEASE!

 

Why is it not hooked up?

Your car is gonna run like pure crap. You now have a huge exhaust leak and a huge vacume leak. Either hook it up or plug it but you will need a tuner.

 

Why do I need a tuner? Do i need one if I don't hook up the EGR and seal it? OR do I need it either way?

 

oh yeah i had trouble with the egr as well. i un-bolted the part that connects it to the plenum and then bolted it to the egr tube, then it was easier to get the egr tube to bend so i could bolt it back up to the plenum.

 

You need a tuner to turn off the egr if it is deleted or else you will get a check engine light and it will run like crap.

 

Thank you guys. I just wanted to get my car on teh road since it is my DD and its on stands for a week. Stupid move, but I wasn't sure it would do all that much.
