I think you need to replace it. If you just adjust it, it will be like youre riding the clutch, which will ruin you clutch. Usually the tob goes about the same time as the clutch, so you might just want to replace the whole deal. My tob started making noise a couple monts ago, and the clutch started slipping last week.

well the clutch still grabs hard. I can chirp second and it wont slip. How long will a clutch generaly last in a gt?

 

Depands on the driver. Mine is starting to slip when I punch it in first. If you dont get any sliping, then Iguess you dont need to replace the whole clutch. But, if youve got everything apart, a King Cobra Clutch kit (which includes the tob) is only 160 bucks.

Just replace the clutch kit. It's not worth the labor just to replace a measly T/O bearing. Besides it's probably about time you need to replace your clutch if your T/O bearing is going.

 

Mine does that when its cold out and just had my clutch and tb replaced 3k miles ago. I mean I barely touch my foot on the pedal and it goes way, no way is it even close to engaging. So I dont see how that could be considered riding the clutch.

 

my squeek is exactly like that.

 

I mean it doesnt bother me to much...just turn up the music louder, the odd part is it always sounds like its coming from the engine compartment.

 

My car started doing the same thing. I know I need to replace the TOB as well.

 

I just dont like it because it makes the car sound like a piece of s hit beater. I put too much effort/time/money into it to have it sound like crap when I'm driving it.
