NEW DIFFERENTAIL......crap!
Ok, so I did my stock one in for good....so I went to my local performance shop and ordered one from Ford Racing Parts....it wasnt too very much just like $225 so I'm hoping it will stand up to some abuse. I also put in for a set of 3.73's also FRPP and bearings and all so I hope I like it.... 685 dollars after install it better be good. I ownder how much power a new rear will hold up to?

Well, when it's newer, it's not so much the power that will break it, as your driving style and Grip will affect it... If you have fat tires, and are terrible at launching, then chances are, you'll sheer an axle, or crack the axle tubes/diff housing...
Wheel hop is a terrible thing..

Does wheele hop happen during a launch or during a run? I can launch just fine, but when I'm going down the roads here in DC and upper VA, I swear the back wheels are hopping. I thought it was my imagination, because I have never heard of that before. Now that you mention it, what is causing it? Rear suspension? It doesn't look or feel bad. Any thoughts?

Wheel hop's a combination of things..
Sticky tires and a sh-tty suspension cause the tires to "jump," and upon contact, they're still twisting, and the shocks just breaks things..
I'm sure someone can give you a better explanation, I'm just not in the mood...

Its not as big of a deal for us as it is our cobra buddies...damn independant rears!!!! No, Ive only hopped once the whole time I have owned my car.... It is caused by a forcefull deflection of traction resulting in an upward motion of inertia. Pretty much the load on your rear end lifts and so does the tires.....if you have ever burnt out a front drive you are probobly familiar with this.
