Difference between 01 and 03 cobra?
I was just wondering what the difference between the 01 and 03 cobra were, engine wise, and other than the supercharger. I'm wondering if I could install the Eaton supercharger on my 01 cobra and have pretty much the same motor as the 03. Thanks
well the 03 cobras have the eaton sc where as you dont. i think yours may have a lil bit higher comp. not too sure tho. just go with a kb. dont waste on the stock 03 cobra sc, unless it has been ground/ported.
The Eaton M112 won't bolt up to your 2001... The differances are more then what you think... First off, we have all Forged Internals. I agree with them, if you want to s/c your car I would get either a Procharger, KB, or a whipple (not sure if they make whipples for your car?). I have a friend with a 01' Cobra thats KB, and he puts down 470rwhp and 415lb ft tor., but in the end everything you'd need for the Eaton M112 to fit on your car it wouldn't be worth it. They suck!!!!! I can't wait to get rid of mine.
If you had an 03/04 cobra... I'd tell you to get a KB or Whipple. I too am not sure if they make the Whipple for the 01's. Just get a procharger man. They are pretty nice themselves. I saw an 01 last weekend at a car show with a procharger in it and he was making 620 rwhp[sm=jawdrop.gif] I'm sure he was running alot of boost tho, but I didn't get to ask him how much.
