Default Common Problem?

After installing exhaust modifications on the stock 03GT, i noticed a definite increase in acceleration, but after installing intake mods ( Trick Flow Plenum, BBK 70mm throttle body, BBK Fenderwell Cold Air intake ) it seems as though the rpms climb slower and therefore take longer to reach the powerband. Futhermore, my car seems to require more gas on the pedal when shifting into first and inching forward. Its no big deal to me, but is this supposed to happen or did I somehow mess something up?

Also, the instructions for the BBK throttle body say to use feeler guages to twist the idle screw in certain directions. I didnt do this becuase i dont know what feeler guages are. Is this step absolutely necessary or will it cause a problem?

No this is not common and you should not need a dyno to solve this with these simple bolt ons. Adding a low restriction intake, TB and plenum should improve everything you said is worse. Did you disconnect your battery after the install for at least 10 minutes to reboot your OBD system? If no, do so and put the headlights on while the battery is disconnected to drain all residual electric from the system. The only other thing I can think of is the TB gasket or Plenum gasket is not on and sealed and messing up your af mix etc. Tou should be able to bolt that stuff right on and run great!

Yeah well what steps do i take to do this? I am assuming that I disconnect the negative battery terminal and then leave the lights on for about 3 minutes to drain the excess power. I am also going to check and see tomorrow if my idle screw is set to the right idle speed. Finally, besides the sound of the cold air intake, i am noticing a raspy air quality sound when i accelerate up until 2500 rpms, and then a clean and powerful sound when i accelerate farther. Any clues as to what that might be?
