Default CONVERTIBLE TOPS

So Saturday night some ******* broke into my car and stole my cd's. They cut my top and headliner and stole some CD's. I could care less about the CD's. Was wondering if anybody had dealt with any aftermarket tops including price and such. I found one site that looks pretty good was thinking about it but mainly wondering if anybody had any experience or suggestions.

dude that sucks! I had my top replacd after Hurricane Ivan. I went to an upholstery shop and had one ordered through them. I paid roughly 700 for the entire install. They did a nice job and the top looked fantastic. Two years later it looks brand new. I'd be wary of buying a top offline until you look at your cars sticker and find the right color code. They pulled the code off of mine and got two colors. We too swatches outside and color matched one. Just food for thought. Also, I couldn't imagine installing it myself. good luck and I hope your insurance helps you out.

Yeah I was pretty pissed. Kinda wish they would have just broke the window. Would have been cheaper and easier.
Insurance is no help seeing as my deductible is $1000 and they are making me pay it if I go through with it (I called and asked). Next insurance cycle Im getting a lower deductible and THANK GOD I am moving out of there in December.
Thanks for the info I was gonna think about taking it to an upholstery shop I know a really good one that works for a decent price.

That sucks!
I had mine replaced last year at a upholstery place also with sail cloth. Cost about $900 total but i changed the color so i needed a new back section(rear glass) also.

You should really get an alarm if you have a vert. My alarm has a 2 zone motion sensor that will chirp if you get like 1 foot away and go full alarm if you put your hand in the car. I also have a paging system that beeps if my alarm is triggered.

Been quoted $650 + tax from a bunch of different shops around my area. All are reputable and have good BBB stuff. I just don't want to take it to Johnny's Upholstery down in the ghetto so looks like $650 is what its gonna be.
