gears will not change rwhp. it will seem like they do but what your actually doing is simply increasing your excelleration by increasing the number of rotations of the gear and driveshaft. thus your 3.73 gears will rotate your wheeks faster tha. your 2.73s thus allowing you to get to speeds quicker the pay off for the faster acceleratiom is the giving up of top speed I'm not positive it It has an effect on your tq. but that would seem more probable tha it givi g you more power because I don't care if you have 1000rwhp if you don't have the tq. to push it you have a loud car that goes slow

Gears increase the torque to the rear wheels, but not the horsepower. It just feels like it more HP.
