Default coil packs

Do you have to change these ever? I've never owned a car with coil packs.

You only have to change one if it goes bad.

Do they go bad often? How can I tell if one is bad? Do they basically last forever? Can you get high performance coil packs or something like that for better performance?

I have had 3 replaced

they go out and wont trip the COL sometimes...... i went through so much trouble finally took to a shop 150 per occurance

normally coil packs from dealer are around 40-65

so 500 is cheap for peromance coil packs
